GRAND STRAND BAND A southeastern favorite among young and old alike, Grand Strand Band is a nine-piece rhythm and blues/beach music band formed in the spring of 1976. Since their inception they have spread their Carolina beach sound from Mobile, Alabama, to Newport News, Virginia, and everywhere in between. While Grand Strand’s specialty is Motown and beach music, their song selections include Classic Rock as well as seventies retro, should the audience choose a mix. This variety has been particularly successful at college parent weekends, wedding receptions, or community events where ages are mixed and audiences have diverse musical interests.
